Since it first opened its doors in 1973, AFTRS has played a major role in shaping the Australian film, television and radio landscape.
The school is an exciting place to learn, to be challenged and to grow your craft and creativity. You will learn, collaborate and network with each other, and build professional relationships that will continue into the future.
Use your time here to experiment and learn from both your successes and failures as you continue your journey towards becoming Australia’s next generation of storytellers.

Orientation is a key part of your course, so please put these dates in your diary to attend. 2024 Orientation Schedule will be provided in February.

Student Numbers will be sent out to all enrolled students We will email the details of your AFTRS Student Number to your personal email address. Once you get your AFTRS student number, you will follow the prompts to log into AFTRS Network. All Students must log in before Orientation Week. |

FEE-HELP EMAIL If you are a domestic student, and selected FEE-HELP as your intended method of payment, and are eligible, you will receive an email from the Department of Education to your personal email address to apply for FEE-HELP through the government eCAF (electronic Commonwealth Assistance Form) online portal. You must completed the eCAF submission before Orientation Week. |
