In conversation with our screening of TAMPOPO (1985) our new EGG-themed display celebrates 'Food in Film'. This Curated Collection features a certifiably cracked egg-king, basking in his EGGstravagant kingdom decorated with egg cartons and disposable cutlery.
Created by our Engagement & Outreach Librarian Raquel with assistance from the library team, it brings together a wealth of her pop culture obsessions and references. From the egg-lined roof of Salvador Dali's museum in Figueres, Spain to Willy Wonka's golden eggs, and the "sunny side up" egg flowers in Charles Atlas' 1987 film Hail the New Puritan. Of course let's not forget that classic nursery rhyme diva: Humpty Dumpty.
