The complexity requirements are listed below: any problems please contact Service Desk
Your student ID and password is your access to AFTRS systems while you are enrolled at AFTRS.
Password Security
Your password is confidential and should never be shared, and is a breach of the AFTRS ICT Acceptable Use Policy
There are several risks associated with sharing your password:
To Reset Your Password
If you have forgotten your password or think your account is compromised, you are able to change your password through Microsoft365 (https://www.microsoft365.com), without the need to contact IT Support for assistance.
AFTRS has Single Sign On (SSO) across multiple systems
Once you have logged in to any of the systems below, you will be able to access the other systems automatically in the same session using same browser:
Using studentnumber@student.aftrs.edu.au + Password
If you need to reset your password, you can do reset via the password reset
To log into Paradigm Student Management System

It is highly recommended to download the free Microsoft Outlook app to your personal mobile device (iOS – Appstore, Android - Play store).
Award Students will also need to use Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) to log into Microsoft Office and we suggest downloading the app on to your mobile device.
What is Multi Factor Authentication (MFA)?
Multi Factor Authentication, commonly referred to as MFA, is an approach to account security, which helps users secure their accounts beyond just a single password. To achieve this, MFA implements a second form of user verification, which is usually in the form of:
Why are we using it?
MFA helps secure your account by making it more difficult for attackers to gain entry. Even if a hacker acquires your account password, they will still have to get their hands on your second method of verification.
How will this impact me?
You will have to verify your account on any new devices & applications if you haven't previously signed into them for first-time use. This account verification is only for Microsoft 365 applications, not for your computer or any other applications or logins.
Setting Up Multi-Factor Authentication For Your Student Microsoft Account
The first time you sign in for new students, you will be asked to set up your multi-factor authentication method.
Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) requires both of the following verification methods to access Office 365 both the first time you use and regularly when you log in.
Download the Microsoft Authenticator app (MFA) on your phone:
↗App Store or ↗Google Play
Open the App
2.Choose Work or school account and follow prompt to set up your account. Allow the app to use the camera
3.Use your phone to scan the QR Code on your computer (that appeared when you logged into Outlook 365 for the first time as per previous screen) This works for international mobiles as well
4. A 2-digit verification code will appear in your browser. Enter this number into the Authenticator on your phone and click YES.
5.. If you do not get a QR code on your computer, call the IT Service Desk on 9805 6456 to reset the login process.
IF YOU GET A NEW PHONE DURING YOUR COURSE
If you have already set up MFA, but then during your course you get a new phone, then you must call the Service Desk to reset the Authenticator for that device.
You will be able to access your course timetable using your Microsoft Office 365 account.
