AFTRS Library

The AFTRS Library has a number of different publications covering the topic of Copyright both on the shelf, in stack or in the reference section. 

Ask the library staff to point you in the right direction.

Australian Copyright Council

The Australian Copyright Council is an independent, non-profit organisation. Founded in 1968, they represent the peak bodies for professional artists and content creators working in Australia’s creative industries and Australia’s major copyright collecting societies.

The Australian Copyright Council publishes a number of copyright publications that explore and interpret different sections of the Australian Copyright Act, some of these publications can be found in the Library or on their website.

Copyright Agency

The Copyright Agency is an Australian not-for-profit organisation that has been standing up for creators for more than 40 years. They enable the reuse of copyright-protected words and images in return for fair payment to creators.

The Official Guide to Copyright Issues for Australian Schools and TAFE. 

This site contains information about the use of copyright within educational institutions in easy to understand language.

Australian Libraries Copyright Committee

The Australian Library Copyright Committee (ALCC) is the primary policy body in Australia for the discussion of copyright issues affecting the library, archive and information sectors.

They help music creators get paid for their work and give music users easy ways to legally play and copy what they like. Royalties keep the music coming and ensure the industry’s future.
