Themed SILVER SCREEN , this splendiferous display pays homage to the near-vanished ornate Picture Palaces of the golden age of Hollywood. Recreated in miniature and hand-painted in rich colours, our art deco inspired “Cathedral to motion pictures” is crowded with "more stars than there are in heaven" (as was the motto of M-G-M at the time), the screen frozen on Norma Desmond’s famous “close-up” from that classic film, Sunset Boulevard (1950). Alongside this fantasy, we’ve gathered a range of films and books all about Tinseltown and, the glamour and horror of the dream factory.
