How do I Print?

First make sure you have selected the right paper size (A4 or A3) as well as colour or B&W option, from your computer before sending to print.

Swipe your Student ID card at the photocopier.

Choose the function SECURE PRINT

To print one item, select the document from your queue and then click ‘print and delete”.

To print multiple items, click select all. Then ‘print and delete’.

How do I Photocopy?

Swipe your Student ID card at the photocopier.

Choose the function COPY

Select colour or B&W option.

Select paper size.

Select how many sides you’d like to copy (single or double sided etc.)

Hit the green START button to copy.

How do I Scan?

Swipe your Student ID card at the photocopier.

Choose the function SCAN AND SEND

Adjust settings for size, colour, resolution and file type.

Select the option ‘Send to myself’ to scan and send to your AFTRS email address.

To send to a different email address: Select the option for ‘New Destination’ and then select ‘Email’. Enter the email address and select ‘OK’.

Hit the green START button to start scanning.

Then click on ‘start sending’. You will hear a quick beep sound when your job is finished.

How do I load Credit onto My Student Card?

Make sure your student ID card has been activated by IT and you have added credit to your account.

You can add credit to your account (minimum $1):

Opening hours: Mon – Fri: 9am to 5pm

Then take your receipt to the Service Desk across the corridor from the Finance office (Room 1.44)

Opening hours: Mon – Fri: 8am to 8pm

Sat & Sun: 8am to 4pm

Can I print from my Personal Laptop?

Yes, you can, but first the AFTRS ITC Department must install the printers onto your laptop.

How much does Printing and Scanning cost?

Where are the Printers/Photocopies located?

Printers are located at:

  • The Library (colour and B&W)
  • Mezzanine Student Area (B&W only)

I forgot my laptop. How can I print?

You can print from the wireless network from your AFTRS laptop or from a public computer in the Library or Level 1 Student Area.
