Accessing the AFTRS Library

While the on-site AFTRS Library may be closed, the online AFTRS Library is still here to fulfill all your resources needs.

Here are a few FAQs:

Can I access the on-site Library?

AFTRS staff and students can access the library on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 10am - 2pm.

We are still closed to Alumni and members of the Public.

Otherwise, you can contact us Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm via:

  • Live Chat in the bottom corner
  • Email as at library@aftrs.edu.au
  • Fill out of the form on the Contact the Library page to the left.

OR Use the Library's Hold Service to get access to physical Library items.

What if I need something from the on-site Library?

AFTRS staff and students can come into the Library and borrow Monday - Friday between 10am - 12pm and 1pm - 4pm.

Due to COVID-19 the on-site library is closed to Alumni and members of the Public

If you need a resource from the on-site library, contact the library staff and we will attempt to source the same resource online or you can use the Library's Hold service.

If we are unable to find the resource online, our research librarians are happy to help you find resources of a similar nature and topic.

I need help referencing my assessment, where do I go?

The Library staff are still here to help you, and we can do so online.

Simply contact the library and we will organise a virtual meeting with you (either via video or over the phone) and help you with all your referencing needs.

I need help researching my assessment. Where do I go?

The library staff are here to help you virtually Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm.

Simply contact us and we will arrange to meet with you virtually and help you with all your research needs.

What should I do with my current loans?

AFTRS staff and students can place their return in the white return chute outside the library tunnel.

Alumni and Members of the Public should continue to keep your current loans in a safe place at your residence.

You will not be charged overdue costs while the Library is closed.

Library items can be return once the Library re-opens.
