From 2000 to 2015, Australian film and television were transformed by new international projects, emerging talents, and trend away from earlier films' preoccupation with what it means to be "Australian". With chapters on Indigenous Australian film, women and queer filmmakers, cinematic sound, screen distribution and more, this is a comprehensive look at the diversity of Australia's screen.

This reader collects an expansive range of writing by scholars, critics, historians, and filmmakers, presenting international perspectives on significant developments and debates from decades of documentary criticism. Each of the reader's 7 sections are prefaced by an introductory essay for critical context, and cover a distinct period in documentary history.

Historian and broadcaster Weston Bate, in collaboration with various Australian research institutions, presents a unique historical perspective. The impressive collection of archival photographs and maps compliment a winding history that captures the essence and flavour of Melbourne's streets.

The Art of Titanfall offers fans detailed insight into its visual development. Featuring concept and development art through all stages of production, this is an interesting look at a game whose design team were inspired by Blade Runner, Star Wars and Ghost in the Shell.

Michel Chion is known for his innovative investigations into aspects of cinema that scholars have traditionally overlooked. Words on Screen is a survey of everything films give us to read on screen. Chion analyses titles, credits, and inter-titles, but also 'diagetic' words: a tear-stained letter; reversed writing in a mirror; a faded highway sign. Chion explores how words generate narrative, remain in the viewer's consciousness even if destroyed, take on symbolic dimensions, and bear every possible relation to cinematic space.
